Authoring often means uploading an opaque file and paying a toll every time it plays. You cannot see what the course teaches or which procedure it depends on.

What ships

Typed blocks stored as rows, frozen published versions, and an author, reviewer, publisher fork on every edit. SCORM 1.2 and 2004 play in a cookieless sandbox, alongside cmi5, xAPI 1.0.3 and LTI 1.3 in both directions.

Course Authoring

Block authoring with copy-on-write versioning, an approval chain, and a reusable learning-object library.

  • Courses: block-structured authoring in text, video, image, document, quiz, branching and SCORM blocks.
  • Resource Library: the shared store of videos, documents, images and external links a course draws on.
  • Learning-Object Library: reuse one object across many courses and see everywhere it is embedded.
  • Published versions are immutable. An edit forks a new copy through an author, reviewer, publisher chain.
  • The publish gate is built to WCAG 2.2 AA.

Standards Playback

SCORM 1.2 and 2004 in a cookieless sandbox, plus cmi5, xAPI 1.0.3 and LTI 1.3 in both directions.

  • SCORM 1.2 and 2004 packages import and play in a cookieless sandbox subdomain, with no per-launch cloud fee.
  • cmi5 launch and fetch, handled in the platform.
  • xAPI 1.0.3 statements, with 2.0 accepted by header.
  • LTI 1.3 in both directions: consume an external tool, or be consumed as one.

Rules And Enrolment

Rules that enrol the right people by position, with approval steps and reminder templates.

  • Mandatory Rules: effective-dated, versioned rules that say which positions must hold which training.
  • Auto-Enrol Triggers: matching learners are enrolled by position, without a hand-built roster.
  • Enrolment Questions: a configurable question set attached to an enrolment.
  • Enrolment Approvals: a reviewer queue for enrolments that need a decision first.

A document block pins a controlled procedure, linked both ways, so a revision flags the courses that teach it. A parent body authors once and distributes to child organisations with copyright modes: as is, localise, or wrap.

What is next, honestly

There is no SCORM or cmi5 package hand-off to another LMS today. An authoring assistant that drafts course text is on the roadmap and is not in the product now.
