The duty doesn't stop at the gate

Your WHS duty is non-delegable

Under Australia's model WHS laws, a PCBU's duty of care cannot be contracted away. If a contractor works on your site, you must independently verify, monitor and document their compliance, before they start. You cannot delegate that risk to the contractor's own paperwork.

Traditional vetting is paper-based and happens at procurement. It cannot prove that the worker who turns up today holds current licences, that the company's insurance is live, or that they completed your induction. The person on site is not always the person who was vetted.

Paper vetting is a snapshot, not a state

A folder approved six months ago tells you nothing about whether the licence is still current today.

The person on site isn’t always the person vetted

Crews change. The certificate on file may belong to someone who isn’t the one walking through the gate.

Insurance lapses go unnoticed

A lapsed Public Liability policy is invisible in a filing cabinet but is a live exposure on your site.

Inductions drift out of date

Site rules and competency requirements change; a year-old induction no longer reflects what you require.

The right-to-work gate

Six checks. One decision at sign-in.

At the kiosk, the gate runs six checks and returns PASS, BLOCK or WARN, each with an explainable reason. If a company's insurance lapses, its prequalification suspends and every linked worker is automatically blocked.

PASS BLOCK WARN
1

Company prequalification approved

The contracting company has passed prequalification (scope, references and policies on file).

2

Company insurances current

Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and workers’ cover are in date. A lapse cascades to a block.

3

Worker active / live

The individual turning up today is a live, current profile, not a departed or suspended worker.

4

Worker certifications current

HRWL, white card and trade qualifications are in currency: Green / Amber / Red at a glance.

5

Induction complete

Your site induction is finished and signed off against your own competency requirements.

6

Geofence: physically on site

The check-in lands inside your configured site radius. No remote sign-ins.

Cascade rule: a single lapsed company insurance suspends prequalification and blocks all that company's linked workers, automatically, before anyone reaches the gate.

One module, the full lifecycle

Everything between the contract and the gate

Prequalification through to on-site presence, managed as one connected record, not a stack of disconnected folders.

Company prequalification + insurance register

Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and more, tracked for currency with expiry-driven auto-suspend at the company level.

Worker licensing & certifications

High Risk Work Licence (HRWL), white card and trade qualifications tracked for currency and classified Green / Amber / Red.

Inductions mapped to your competency matrix

Contractors are assessed against your own position-to-competency matrix. A contractor electrician faces the same requirements as a staff electrician.

Geofenced check-in / check-out

Configurable site radius. Sign-in and sign-out are bound to the physical site, captured on the kiosk and the live register.

Work permits

Auto-flagged on trigger answers and routed to an admin for approval before high-risk work proceeds.

Key & swipe-card register

Track which keys and access cards are issued to which contractor, returned and reconciled against who is on site.

Emergency broadcast

Reach the live on-site cohort instantly. The register doubles as a roll-call for evacuations and incidents.

Immutable, Merkle-sealed audit

Every gate decision, induction and document change is written to a tamper-evident, cryptographically sealed audit trail.

Who's on site, right now

The kiosk and the dashboard are the same system

Every sign-in lands instantly on the on-site register: name, organisation, host, sign-in time and badge. Emergency roll-call is one button away. The board updates as people sign in: durations count up as you watch.

Why Lattice Look

The cost the incumbents hide is the cost you pay

Most contractor-management platforms charge the contractor, and that cost flows straight back into your rates. We take it out.

Contractors pay $0

Incumbent platforms charge contractors $45–$140 each per year, a supply-chain cost that flows back into your rates. Lattice removes it entirely. The organisation pays; the contractor never does.

Lowest total cost of ownership

One bundled contractor SKU at $150 per contractor per year, billed on active profiles only. No overage on departed or inactive workers.

Australian-sovereign hosting

Melbourne primary with a Sydney standby, giving two-state geo-redundancy with point-in-time recovery. Your data never leaves the country.

Assessed against your matrix

Not just a document store. Contractors are measured against the same competency matrix you use for your own workforce.

Tamper-evident cryptographic audit

Merkle-sealed evidence stands up to a regulator. TLS 1.2+ in transit; an evidence chain you can prove was never altered.

Simple, honest pricing

$150 per contractor / year
